CIA/FBI [21 Aug 2003|11:38am] totally did a cia/fbi operation yesterday to see pirates of the caribean. everyday it seems like i'm getting closer and closer to hell. maybe that's why i feel like it's so hot. no- actually it's so damn cold in the safety center. freakin' 40 degrees it feels like. i can't even really type. my fingers freeze every 5 seconds, so i have to stop, ponder thoughts of warmth and what that may feel like... then begin typing again. you know it's jacked up when you wear layers indoors and then when you go outside you de-layer. sheez. 3 comments|post comment

[19 May 2003|12:03pm] i love seattle when it's sunny! driving west on 520 you can see the olympics, glimpses of the water and in my rear view mirror i see the cascades. this michigan decision is beginning to weigh me down. i have 2 weeks to decide. blah! the conference was a great success. so many participants! the kuyas and kdphis should be very pleased and proud of themselves! they did an excellent job. timmy and kat made me so proud. they have said before that they get nervous and stuff, but when they are up there, it doesn't show and they rock! perhaps they just need more opps to do so and then it'll become piece of cake. jc was cool. too bad paulie is so mean to him. have a good week y'alls. post comment

[16 May 2003|03:14pm] holy crap almighty!!! my cell phone rings and i don't recognize the number... a little hesitant to answer, but i do anyway. the woman on the other end tells me she's calling from the univ. of michigan and begins to wish me congratulations for getting into the masters program (social work). i think we spoke for 3-5 more minutes, but i don't remember what she said bceause i was so excited i can't remember. holy crap! decisions, decisions. now i have to decide between uw and um. judith says things happen for a reason. so all the crappy stuff that happened during the latter part of last year and the beginning of this year makes sense. hhmmm i guess so- it's crappy that it happens, but--- I'M HAPPY NOW!! watch out ann arbor- are you prepared to handle the wrath of the p~ninja? 1 comment|post comment

[02 May 2003|01:44pm] i'm not one for oooogling over celebrities, BUT... jenn brower's roommate won a contest to eat lunch with "the" bachelor: andrew firestone! me and my co-workers: nara and melody staked out wild ginger... as we left nara was peering in the window trying to take a photo and he waved at her and we ran back in and he took a photo with her. how swwweeeet. anyway- that made my day. if ya wanna know more... check out nwafternoon at 3pm on channel 4. i think the news will cover some of it too. post comment
